New Student Ministries Coordinator Joins PBC

Hi,
My name is Josh Revels and I’m the new Student Ministries Coordinator at Parkway Baptist Church. I’m so pumped to see what God has in store for this student ministry. Students today, like many adults, have a thirst for something real and tangible. They hunger for something authentic and life changing. Matter of fact, who doesn’t? That’s why my passion is not about growth in numbers. It’s about hearts growing towards a deeper and more fulfilling love for Christ. When I think of a healthy student ministry, I don’t necessarily think of a youth room with lots of couches, an Xbox, and a pool table. I think of a group that is on fire to do radical things for the kingdom of God! There will be lock-ins, movie nights, ski trips, summer camps, missions, game nights, worship rallies and a whole bunch of just crazy fun. But our ministry won’t be measured by those things. It will be measured by our real, tangible, authentic, genuine love for Christ. This is my heart and my passion for these students. Pray for us as we take on the summer of 2009 and look out for upcoming activities to get your student involved.
